Today I received the following 'Ask...' question from a member: 'Drake, I have to ask this since you have been fucking so many guys lately, are you now gay?'

My response is a bit long, so I'm posting it as a blog:

Labels, labels, labels! We humans LOVE labeling everything and everyone so they're compartmentalized and fit neatly into tidy little boxes! People in my personal life have asked the same question, and in the grand scheme of things does my sexual orientation really matter?

Ironically, no one has EVER uttered the words to me, 'Are you straight?' But for some reason it's important for people to be able to label others as being gay.

Recently, a male acquaintance asked if I was gay. I simply replied, 'Why? Do you want to suck my cock?' Shocked, and quickly blurting, 'No!' the conversation went elsewhere.

One thing I've learned from writing blurbs about the guys on the site is that no matter how I list their sexual preferences, someone out there doesn't believe me.

Although, I must say, when I list a guy as 'gay' I NEVER receive comments saying, 'Get real, so-and-so is soooo straight!' Yet, when I state that a guy is straight or bi, I receive a number of messages saying, 'No he's not! He's gay,' or 'He's bi.'

Therefore, no matter what answer I give in reply to this question, people are going to believe what they want. And that's fine. I have no problem with it.

I know who I am, and I like who I am. To me, that's all that really matters!
